Now before applying for the PAN, you should have the basic information about the PAN and why it is required. Be Careful During Form Filling
Take time and be cool-minded and attentive at the time of mentioning the personal details and other important data/information in the form. What you first need to do is to download the Form 49A from a reliable pan broker site like: www.PanCardNri.com or from the income tax department’s official website www.incometaxindia.gov.in and then you can also take a hard copy through the electronic printer. However, you may also knock at the door of TIN Facilitation office for collecting the application form.
For the updation of the PAN application form due to necessary changes or modification, you can take the liberty to log at the particular sites in the internet. Lastly, please give the important data and identity proofs like one recent thumbnail sized colored photo which should be pasted on the specific space of the form. You will have to submit the address/ID proofs with the Form 49A.
In addition, you need to be duty bound to write the designation with code number of Assessing officer who serves in Income Tax Department. As a part of ID proof, you may feel comfy to show or attach authorized voter ID card, utility services bill, graduation or post graduation certificate, ration card or you are also permitted to show the driving license. Character certificate dully issued by honorable first citizens like MLA or chairman in municipality, IAS/IPS officer, Gazetted officer is also legal ID document. You are free to use this certificate as well to fill up the form.

Hello,
We have made an error in the field for “date of formation” in our partnership firm PAN application. We have submitted the application online and were planning on sending the documents to the Pune office tomorrow. The date in the partnership deed is 16 May 2010, the date we have filled in the form is 14 MAy 2010. Is there a way we can correct this easily?
